Group A

Costa Rica... what are you doing?!

A massive upset has occurred! Martinique, who everyone thought was just here to fill the numbers, grabbed 10 points in this chaotic group. They teamed up with Jamaica to kick the group's top seed out of the World Cup! With eight spots available for CONCACAF, who could have imagined Costa Rica would miss the tournament?

Jamaica’s 10 points wouldn't have been enough in any other group—they are actually lower than the runners-up in the other three groups. But thanks to the madness in Group A, Jamaica marches into their first-ever World Cup as the group winner! 🇯🇲

Martinique did the same; they pulled off the upset of the century and advanced by a 2-point margin over Costa Rica. Because this group was so chaotic, even the last-place team, Trinidad & Tobago, finished with 6 points. It’s safe to say Group A was the absolute wildest of them all.

Group B

If Group A was everyone mud-wrestling in the trenches, Group B was a cold, ruthless demonstration of hierarchy.

Mexico (14 pts) and Honduras (13 pts) seemed to have an agreement: clear the board. Mexico’s 14 points are a synonym for absolute dominance in CONCACAF. Honduras followed close behind; their 13 points would have topped any group except for Group D. They used their brutal consistency to show the world that in the traditional CONCACAF order, no one touches their cake except for the "Big Brothers."

Curaçao, once highly touted as the potential "Caribbean disruptor," finished with only 5 points. Faced with the twin mountains of Mexico and Honduras, their "dark horse dream" shattered silently. As for Belize, their embarrassing 1-point tally proves they were nothing more than a "cash machine" for the top two teams to pad their goal differences. There was an unbridgeable chasm between the strong and the weak here.

Group C

The flow of Group C was like a precision-calculated surgical strike.

The USA (14 pts) finally found that swagger they usually have when dominating North America. 14 points, undefeated—this is how they are sending a declaration of war to the rest of the world before the main event. They gave no one a chance, dominating almost every aspect of the game.

El Salvador (11 pts) was the "survival expert" of this group. Their 11 points were actually higher than the winners of Group A, showing incredible stability against lower-tier teams. They precisely exploited the weaknesses of Haiti and Guatemala, showing no mercy in the key matches.

Haiti (6 pts) was supposed to be the wildcard, but failing to score against the US and El Salvador meant they could only watch their rivals advance. Guatemala (1 min) had it even worse—except for that one solitary draw, they spent the rest of their time witnessing the USA’s goal-scoring clinic.

Group D

If Group A was chaos, Group D was pure slaughter.

Canada (15 pts) delivered the most terrifying performance of the entire CONCACAF third stage. 15 points! It’s the only perfect (or near-perfect) miracle of the stage. Their front line treated the qualifiers like target practice. This level of dominance cast a "Red Terror" over the entire group.

Caught in this storm, the unluckiest—yet most resilient—team was Panama (13 pts). They scored 13 points, which would have made them "kings" in Group A, but they were forced to settle for second place behind Canada. Still, those 13 points are enough to punch their ticket to the main stage. Panama played the role of the ultimate "second-in-command," leaving the rest of the pack in the dust.

Suriname (6 pts) and the Bahamas (1 pt) were total victims in this group. Facing a red-hot Canada and a rock-solid Panama, every single point they earned was written in blood and tears. Especially the Bahamas—the small nation that clawed its way up from the first stage—they likely spent the whole qualifying campaign living in the shadow of a defensive collapse.
